Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the Gaze-it app or website (“Gaze-it”), provided by Hibouduc Holding AB (Sweden, organisation number 559588-6432) (“we”, “us”). By using Gaze-it you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.
What Gaze-it is
Gaze-it recommends films and series available on the streaming services you tell us you use, and links you to them. It is a guide: we don't stream anything ourselves, and we're not affiliated with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, HBO Max, SkyShowtime, DStv or any other service. Opening a title takes you to that service, where its own terms apply and you need your own subscription.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country, if higher) to use Gaze-it, and old enough to agree to these terms.
Your account
Gaze-it creates an account for you automatically so it can remember your preferences. You can add an email address (or other sign-in option when available) to use it on more than one device. Keep access to your sign-in email secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account and data at any time (here's how).
Recommendations and availability
We work hard to keep availability, links, ratings and leaving dates accurate, but they come from third parties and change often. Titles can leave a service without notice, links can break, and some services (for example DStv Stream) don't share catalogue data with us at all. Recommendations, the Gaze-it score and AI-written explanations are suggestions, not guarantees. Age ratings come from public sources; please use your own judgment for children.
Fair use
Please don't misuse Gaze-it. In particular, don't:
- scrape, copy or resell our data or recommendations, or use automated tools to access Gaze-it except through the app and website as intended;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of Gaze-it or other users' accounts;
- use mood search to generate content unrelated to finding something to watch, or to abuse our AI providers;
- use Gaze-it in breach of the law.
We may limit, suspend or close access for misuse.
Content and intellectual property
Gaze-it (its design, software, scores and recommendations) belongs to us. Titles, posters, images and descriptions belong to their respective owners and are shown under licence from our data providers, including TMDB and Movie of the Night (see company & credits). Service names and logos are trademarks of their owners.
Paid features
Gaze-it is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we'll explain what's included, the price and how to cancel before you pay, and add the terms here. Purchases in the app stores are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
Our responsibility
We provide Gaze-it “as is” and can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses or for anything that happens on third-party services you open from Gaze-it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law where you live, or our liability where it can't be limited by law.
Changes and ending
We may update Gaze-it and these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use Gaze-it afterwards means you accept the new terms. You can stop using Gaze-it and delete your data at any time. We may discontinue Gaze-it, and will give reasonable notice if we do.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring a claim there. We'd always rather sort things out directly: contact hello@gazeit.app.
